Le Collectif pour la Protection de l'Ibis de Bretagne a pour but de s'opposer à l'éradication programmée de cette espèce en Bretagne et au-delà, par l'information et la mobilisation.

Sous la pression de quelques naturalistes, sans aucun débat public, les Préfets de Loire-Atlantique et du Morbihan viennent d’autoriser par arrêté “la destruction de spécimens d’ibis sacrés (Threskiornis aethiopicus )” par des agents de l’ONCFS (L’Office National de la Chasse et de la Faune Sauvage) pour une période allant du 15 mars au 15 avril 2007.
L’éradication programmée d’ibis sacrés se fera par “tirs à la carabine à l’approche et à l’affût des individus adultes”. Or, cette espèce figure d’une part dans la liste des oiseaux strictement protégés de la Convention de Berne et se trouve d’autre part classée en catégorie C, identifiant l'ibis sacré à double titre comme un oiseau d’Europe, notamment de la côte atlantique. En outre, cette décision s’appuie sur un rapport de l’INRA et de l’ONFCS de 2005 dans lequel les auteurs mêmes reconnaissent que l’état des connaissances sur le comportement de l’ibis est relativement faible et pourrait motiver un report de décision quant à une intervention.
Au titre du principe de précaution, nous demandons que ces arrêtés soient annulés. En effet, sans une étude sérieuse et approfondie sur l’impact de la présence de l’espèce sur la biodiversité de nos milieux, la solution la plus radicale prise par arrêté préfectoral est inacceptable. Le ministère de l’environnement a d'ailleurs refusé de prendre une telle décision.

Ainsi, le Collectif pour la Protection de l’Ibis de Bretagne sollicite votre signature. Les pages de cette pétition seront adressées aux préfectures concernées.

N'hésitez pas à faire signer vos amis, vos proches, associations et collectifs, PENDANT ET APRES l'application des deux premiers arrêtés préfectoraux.
La décision d'éradiquer l'ibis sacré reste scientifiquement infondée et contraire à son statut d'oiseau protégé.

Die Präfekte der Loire-Atlantique und des Morbihan haben ein Gesetz herausgebracht das die Vernichtung von Ibis Vögel (Threskiornis aethiopicus) von Teilnehmer des ONCFS (Nationale Behörde der Jagd und Wilde Fauna) erlaubt, vom 15 März bis 15 April. Das Kollectiv für das Überleben der Ibis Vögel in der Bretagne bietet um Unterstützung.
Die vorgesehene Vernichtung der Ibis Vögel wird durch Gewehrschüsse durchführt, mit Ziel ausgewachsener Vögel.
Diese Vögel sind einerseits in der Liste der strikt unter Schutz stehenden Vögel von dem Bern Abkommen registriert, die den Ibis zu den europäischen Vögeln zählt, und befinden sich andererseits in der categorie C, was ihn damit in der sehr offiziellen Liste der Vögel Frankreich's einbezieht.
Ausserdem stützt sich diese Entscheidung auf dem 2005 Bericht des INRA und des ONFCS in dem die Autoren selbst zugeben dass der Stand der Kenntnisse bezüglich des Verhaltens der Ibis Vögel ziemlich schwach ist und ein Verschieben der Entscheidung motivieren könnte.
Nach dem Vorsichts Prinzip fragen wir um das Annullieren dieses Gesetzes. Ohne eine seriöse und ausgiebige Forschungsarbeit über die Auswirkung der Presenz dieser Vögel auf die Biodiversität unseres Milieus, ist diese genommene radikale Lösung für uns nicht akzeptabel. Wir wissen ausserdem dass das Umweltsministerium solch eine Entscheidung verweigert hat.

Darum bietet das Kollectiv für den Schutz der Ibis Vögel um ihre Unterstützung.

Following the decision taken by the prefect of Loire-Atlantique and Morbihan to authorize by an order the destruction of sacred ibises (Threskionis aethiopicus) by members of the ONCFS (National Office for Hunting and Wildlife) from 15th of March to 15th of April, the Association for the Defense of the Sacred Ibis in Brittany invites you to join its action.
The planed destruction of the sacred ibises will be done by "rifle shootings, through approaching and lying in wait of adult birds". However, this species figures on the list of the strictly protected birds of Europe after the Bern Convention, annex II, and is also classified in the C category, what integrate them in the very official list of « France's birds ». Moreover, this decision is based on a 2005 report by the INRA and ONFCS in which the authors themselves admit that the state of kowledge concerning the behaviour of this species is quite incomplete and could be an enough reason for delaying the decision of an intervention.
On the account of the precaution principle, we ask for the abolition of this order. Actually, without a serious and complete study of impact the presence of this species could have on the biodiversity of our environment, the most radical solution taken by this order is unacceptable. We know moreover that the Ministry of environment has refused to take such a decision.

For these reasons, the Association for the Defense of the Sacred Ibis in Brittany, created in Vannes, asks for your support.

DE HEILIGE IBIS MOET GERED WORDEN

De Préfecten van Loire-Atlantique en Morbihan hebben, zonder enig openbaar overleg, besloten dat de agenten van het "Office National de la Chasse et de la Faune Sauvage" in de periode van 15 maart tot 15 april 2007 mogen overgaan tot het doden van Heilige Ibissen (Threskiornis aethiopicus) De geobserveerde, naderbij komende volwassen vogels zullen met het geweer neergeschoten worden.

Volgens het Verdrag van Bern behoort deze vogel tot de hoognodig te beschermen vogelsoorten. Hij is ook opgenomen in de lijst van in Europa levende vogels, ondermeer langs de Atlantische kust.

De beslissing om over te gaan tot het doden van de vogels is gebaseerd op een uit 2005 daterend rapport van het ONFCS en het Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA) waarin de auteurs van het rapport erkennen dat het weinige dat zij over het gedrag van de ibis weten een motivatie kan zijn om een beslissing om tussenbeide te komen, uit te stellen.

Uit voorzorg vragen wij dat de besluiten ongeldig verklaard worden. Zonder een ernstige studie over de impact van deze soort op de biodiversiteit van onze omgeving is de radicale aanpak van deze Préfecten onaanvaardbaar. De Milieuminister weigerde al een beslissing te nemen.

Het " Collectif pour la Protection de l’Ibis de Bretagne" vraagt U zijn petitie te ondertekenen. Deze petitie zal naar de betrokken prefecturen gestuurd worden.
